The Week I Had Nothing Extra

October 12, 2026•1 min read

“Sometimes steadiness is the bravest offering you have.”

There was a week I showed up with nothing extra.

No clever opening.
No new exercise.
No extra spark.

Just me. Slightly tired. Holding a thermos that had already gone lukewarm.

The room felt the same.

Slower.
Quieter.
Less animated.

Old me would have tried to override that.

Instead, I said, “We’re going to move gently today.”

And we did.

Leadership during low-energy seasons isn’t about manufacturing momentum.

It’s about honoring the temperature of the room.

You don’t have to bring summer energy into winter spaces.

Sometimes steadiness is the bravest offering you have.
