The Spreadsheet I Didn’t Need
“Not everything meaningful can be graphed.”
I once created an overly detailed spreadsheet to measure progress.
Columns.
Color coding.
Projected growth.
It was beautiful.
It was also exhausting.
By mid-January I resented it.
Numbers have their place.
But tallying every effort can shrink the joy out of it.
Honoring effort without tallying results means trusting the work itself.
Not everything meaningful can be graphed.
