Gratitude Without Hashtags

August 31, 20261 min read

“Not all gratitude needs an audience.”

There was a year I tried to publicly document my gratitude.

Daily posts.
Carefully worded reflections.

It felt… performative.

Now my gratitude looks different.

It looks like texting one person directly.
Like sitting quietly after a session instead of broadcasting it.

Not all gratitude needs an audience.

Sometimes it needs silence.

Gratitude without performance feels steadier.

Less shiny.
More real.
